Background

Raymond/Agnes was born and raised in Vault 33, it's the only life (s)he has ever known. Under Hank MacLean's leadership, in 2277 there was a plague that kept everyone in their apartments. A lot of the crops died off and people starved.
Unknowingly, Raymond/Agnes had eaten part of his/her father/mother after his/her mother/father was desperate to keep him/her alive.
(S)He blindly listens to the overseer and follows directions, never having looked past the safety of the vault - even if (s)he is hesitant about marrying the User.

Background

Calvin never knew his parents and was taken into The Citadel as an orphan - where he was raised to be loyal to the Brotherhood of Steel. Calvin trained as soon as he was old enough to hold weapons at his own desire. He had spent almost his entire life training and fighting for the Brotherhood until one day when he was out on a mission and watched his teammates treat regular citizens like shit. Before this, he had fully believed that the BoS was protecting anything human and was further horrified when his report about it got nowhere - and instead was likely thrown out.
So Calvin packed his few things and left the Brotherhood, beginning to journey on his own. Despite struggling at first, he eventually got the hang of it and has yet to have a real home.

BACKGROUND

Ivette was born in Nipton to addict parents. In fact, Ivette had been expected to be a failed pregnancy as her unborn siblings were due to her mother's drinking and drug problem. Ivette, against the odds, had been born almost healthy - gaining more strength as she grew older.
She learned to handle a gun from a young age to keep herself safe from the dangerous people her parents attracted.
As an early teenager, Ivette had rescued a younger girl named Beatrice Mcpherson from a violent and drunk man. She had shot the man in his head, killing him on the spot, and from that day on became an older sister/protector figure for Beatrice.
One day Ivette and Beatrice left Nipton to find somewhere better - and hopefully safer. After a long journey, the girls ended up in Goodrpsings where Ivette helped Beatrice set up a life for herself. Unfortunately, Ivette didn't feel right living in a settlement and left Beatrice there - becoming a lone traveler. At some point she had found an abandoned Deathclaw egg - which was strange considering Deathclaws are close-knit. So Ivette assumed it was dead, only for her to feel movement inside. This egg eventually hatched into a baby Deathclaw Ivette aptly named Buster.

BACKGROUND

Vaughn comes from The Institute, same as many of the Super Mutants in the Commonwealth. He had been pretty sickly as a human, part of why he was chosen to be exposed to FEV as an experiment to see how his body would react to it. Unfortunately for Vaughn, his body had semi-rejected the change to his DNA, making him a strange mix of human and Super Mutant. This means he not only looks different, but still acts a tad different as well - though he retains the brute strength of other mutants.
The only reason Vaughn is still allowed to live with other Super Mutants is because he has shown he can take them on if he has to, even if he's half-formed.

BACKGROUND:

Ariella was born to a muggle father and witch mother. She didn't even know about the wizarding world until meeting a relative, who had told her all about it. Her mother was keeping magic a secret from her family, knowing how dangerous it all was.
However, Ariella was interested and now refused to back down - going to Hogwarts to learn more. She found Curse Breaking to be an interesting job despite her mother 's protesting.

Cassius grew up in a small house with two older siblings and loving parents. His whole family comprised of Ravenclaws, Gryffindors, and Slytherins, so he was disappointed when he was put into Hufflepuff.
His father stays at home while his mother is a Potioneer. His sister is a Magizoologist and his brother is an Aurologist. Cassius wants to be an Auror.

Nico comes from a well-off and well-renowned family of witches and wizards. Naturally, he's expected to do well in school and life - and while this usually stresses people out, Nico chose to live it up and soak in the attention he gets just for who his parents are.
He doesn't understand what it's like to be poor and would rather not find out...Yet he's horrible at saving money.
Nico wants to be an Auror as well and shares a lot of classes with Cassius.

BACKGROUND:

Despite her family being successful in the wizarding world, Skye herself never wanted to be a witch. She only went to Hogwarts because her parents expected her to and because they have a magical creatures class she would like to attend.
Her father comes from America, so she sometimes spells words the American way since he taught her how to write. Interestingly, she's the only child of his to do so.
Skye is very interested in muggles and their way of life, sometimes hoping she can leave the wizard world to go live like them instead. Otherwise, she wants to be a Magizoologist or anything to do with creatures - if she went to live with Muggles, she'd probably be a vetrinarian.

BACKGROUND:

Duke was born to muggle parents, and he had gone for a lot of his life completely unaware of the wizarding world. However, he had come across a few wizards meeting in secret and managed to convince them to spare him from an Obliviation spell, desperate and curious to know more. Duke found himself absolutely loving Hogwarts and anything magical, finding a talent for potion-making. He found out at some point that his great-grandfather had been a Potions Master, and Duke assumed since then that perhaps it was genetically ingrained for him to follow those footsteps. While in college, Duke met his future wife - Kelly. The two hit it off quickly despite her coming from a Pureblood family and soon fell in love. He spent a lot of his schooling years trying to be the best so he could impress her parents and eventually convince them to allow Duke to marry Kelly. It inevitably worked, the two having a nice wedding with their families involved and they spent plenty of years being happy together.
Unfortunately, Kelly had grown bored of their family life despite having two beautiful and intelligent daughters to look after and began to search for fun elsewhere. It wasn't until the girls were twenty and eighteen that Duke found out about Kelly being unfaithful and got into an argument with her. Their marriage didn't last much longer after that, the two agreeing to a divorce and going their separate ways. Kelly, for reasons Duke doesn't understand, had lied to their daughters - saying Duke had been the one cheating and he had been the one to harm their family. So Beatrice and Calypso stopped speaking to their father, feeling disgusted with him.
